Putting Membership on Hold or "Freezing" Membership:
SBAC provides the ability for members to put their memberships on hold, or "freeze". This freeze service does not release members of their responsibilities as outlined in the membership agreement and frozen time does not apply to the first year commitment period of membership.
To freeze a membership--it's simple! -- Come into the club and sign a Membership Freeze Request
For your convenience, we have a simple process for freezing your membership. Come in to the club and sign a Membership Freeze Request. Any one of our front desk staff members can assist you with this process. You will be given a copy of your freeze request with a confirmation number. All freezes will be processed as per the freeze policy. Freezes are not accepted over the phone, verbally, or via email. SBAC carefully monitors all freeezes to ensure that freezes are processed correctly and in accordance with this policy. We maintain records of all freezes for your protection.
Freeze Policy:
1. There is a $10.00 fee to place membership on freeze and hold the current rate.
2. All outstanding payments, charge accounts, etc., by member must be paid prior to freezing membership.
3. Memberships may be frozen for a minimum of 1 month to a maximum of 6 months. If membership is frozen and then unfrozen in less than 30 days, the member will be responsible for full membership dues for that month.
4. All freezes must be received in writing to prevent error and are not accepted via phone.
5. Notice is required 30 days prior to the next billing date for freezing of membership. In the event that notice is given with less than 30 days notice, member is responsible for that billing.
6. It is the member's sole responsibility to request freeze of their membership.
7. The SBAC membership card must be returned during the freeze period.
8. Membership will continue at the rate on membershiip contract when taken off freeze.
9. All memberships are a minimum 12-month period. Memberships cannot be frozen in lieu of fulfilling your 12-month payment agreement (i.e., if you are 6 months into your membership and you freeze it, you will still have a commitment of 6 months remaining after the freeze period is over).
10. Membership will automatically resume billing at your regular membership rate after the freeze period without notice.
