South Bay Athletic Club offers members the ability to transfer the remaining obligations on their membership to someone else. This can be helpful if you are no longer able to utilize the facility and would like to pass the benefits of fitness to someone else.
The procedure is simple.
1. You will need to determine who is assuming your membership.
2. You will need to complete a cancellation request form and indicate on that form who the person is that is assuming your membership. There is no cancellation fee if your membership is being transferred, however, the person assuming the membership must pay the $199 transfer fee.
Restrictions:
1. Memberships can only be transferred in the first 12 months of a membership agreement.
2. Membership fees must be current and all charge slips paid off.
3. Assuming member will be responsible for the remaining term commitment of the original member's agreement. The assuming member will need to complete a membership agreement. For example, if the membership is transferred after the first 3 months of the agreement, the assuming member is responsible for an agreement for 9 months.
