| South Bay Athletic Club is a full-service fitness and athletic club which has served the Bay Area since 1979. SBAC began as one of the premier racquetball clubs in the early '80s (we even had a full service bar!). As the racquetball trend faded, SBAC diversified into current fitness trends, developing into a full-service center to meet all of your health and fitness needs.
Our services have grown to include include racquetball courts, a swimming pool, a basketball court, a comprehensive free weight area, a full line of Cybex Eagle resistance training equipment, a full line of cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, steppers, elliptical trainers, Cybex arcs, upright and recumbent stationary bikes, indoor cycling bikes, yoga/kickboxing studio, jacuzzies, dry saunas, a steam room, a tanning salon, and many personal services. And now, we are continuing our growth with the expansion into a athletic conditioning center for premier athletes in 2008. The facility has been privately owned and operated since inception. It is currently minority owned by a female with American Indian heritage.
Our mission is to create an environment where individuals of all shapes, sizes, confidence, and ability levels will feel welcome and supported. We want to make your visit to our facility the best part of your day. We do this by not overcrowding our facility, keeping the facility extremely clean, and staffing the facility with friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff.
We are located at 271 Houret Drive in Milpitas, CA at the corner of Montague Expressway. Our facility is easily accessed from both interstates 680 and 880. We are within walking distance of the Great Mall, the light rail, and local bus stops.
SBAC is a member of the International Health & Racquet Sports Association (IHRSA), the International Dance Exercise Association (IDEA), and the Milpitas Chamber of Commerce. We are a provider for the American Red Cross and the Arthritis Foundation Program. SBAC is also a strong supporter of the arts and is the official health club of Western Ballet of Mountain View.
